I was named Tulsi Das by our Guru Maharaj BS Damaodar Swami on my Swasti Pujah day (a
Hindu ceremony)
My
Family:
I travel a lot following in my
father's footsteps. My Father W. Amarjit Singh (Ajit Das), learnt to
play the flute when he was 10. He obtained a degree in mechanical
engineering but finally decided to follow his dreams.
He is an
accomplished flutist, singer and dancer. He is also the director of
the Ranganiketan Manipuri Dance Centre in Manipur, a small
north-eastern state of India. My mother, N. Memtombi Devi (Tulsipriya
Devi) is also a singer. I have a sister, Nandarani and a brother, Premanath Das. |
My Hobbies, Interests and Future
projects.....
I am a vegetarian from birth
and I love singing,
martial arts, sanskrit, dancing and drumming. In sports, I like
swimming. |
As
part of the Ranganiketan Manipuri Dance troupe, I have had 220
performances in different parts of the world, including the United
States, Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, Poland, Iraq, Egypt, Syria,
Dubai, Hong Kong and in several parts of India. |
